Folklore Inka is a non-profit cultural Peruvian organization,
having as its principal objective to promote and to spread culturally the beauty and
majesty of the different dances of the many regions of Peru in the Hispanic-Canadian
community, this objective takes implicitly the component of quality required and wished
by each and every one of the members.
In the beginning, some of the members had several years of
experience participating in different dance groups and community events, and decided to
meet and exchange their experiences. Hereby Folklore Inka is initiated in the city of
Toronto on September 16, 1986.
Folklore Inka has had numerous presentations in the city of
Toronto, different cities of Ontario and the United States. Folklore Inka strains for
supporting the originality of the music, dance and choreography, possesses a valuable
collection of typical gowns made by Peruvian craftsmen.
